Morgan-Scott CEO is pleased to employ Jennifer Cherry Sellars as the program instructor. Sellars taught business at Winchester High School for 10 years and currently teaches college level classes at Lincoln Land Community College. Prior to teaching, Jennifer spent over twenty-five years in the private business sector, including the insurance and health care industries. Jennifer has served as a member of the Passavant Area Hospital Auxiliary, Our Redeemer Day Care Board of Directors, the Winchester Community Unit School District Board of Education, the Illinois Electric Cooperative Board of Directors, and the Scott County Fair Association.

 A 1988 graduate of Winchester High School, Jennifer went on to earn a degree in Psychology from Millikin University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois and a doctorate in education (EdD) from Baylor Univerisity, further strengthening her expertise in teaching and curriculum development. Jennifer has served in various professional capacities prior to her teaching career that have included Human Resources, Corporate Compliance, Quality & Regulatory Operations, and Financial Accounting.

Over the course of the school year, Sellars works with area businesses to facilitate on-site learning opportunities. She also helps the students start individual businesses as well as a class-wide business project. The class consists of students recruited from Bluffs, Franklin, Jacksonville, Meredosia-Chambersburg, Routt Catholic, Triopia, Westfair Christian Academy and Winchester High Schools and will meet for 90 minutes on weekday mornings during the school year. Students earn six college credits from Lincoln Land Communiuty College for participation in and completion of the course.

The Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) program teaches high school seniors how entrepreneurs and businesses operate as well as how to run their own business. The program also enables high school students to become self-reliant, enterprising individuals who will start successful businesses and contribute to the ongoing economic development of their communities. The program is funded by sponsors from within the community. Founding sponsors of the program are Illinois Electric Cooperative and Jacksonville Regional Economic Development Corporation.
