WELL THAT WAS FUN!!! The class visited the Jacksonville Post Office where Postmaster, Matt Tapscott, gave the students a tour and showed the students what happens on a daily basis. The United States Postal Service is an independent agency of the executive branch of the United States federal government responsible for providing postal service in the U.S. It is one of the few government agencies explicitly authorized by the Constitution of the United States. It has 525,469 career employees and 114,623 non-career employees, making it the second largest employer in the U.S. with only the U.S. military being larger.

As Kenley said, it was “like being in Santa’s workshop!” Thank you so much to Matt for his time and the donuts. It was amazing!
